I just stumbled across the coolest nail art design ever. Newspaper Nails. This nail design is becoming quite popular and common amongst many, and I have found it to my liking aswell.
Doesn't that look wonderful? well it does to me, and I hope you agree.
I love writing and reading so I think this nail design just appeals to me wondefully because of that. WONDERFUL!
okay, I'm done with saying wonderful.
anyway, recreating this look may not be as hard as it seems.
All you really need is;
- a base coat
- A light polish (perferably the colour of newspaper); taupe grey? matte white? or maybe the colour of parchment??
- Newspaper
- Rubbing Alcohol
- sheer nail polish (top coat)
- cotton swab (optional)
- apply the base coat
- apply the colour you want your nails to be, and wait until fully dry.
- Pour a capful of rubbing alcohol into a cap. (Preferably off the rubbing alcohol bottle...)
- Cut out ten sqaures of newspaper, larger than your nail in size.
- Press the newspaper down onto your nails, with the same hand, and use your other hand to pick up a cotton swab, dip it into the rubbing alcohol and then apply over the newspaper a few times. Remember to press hard. After several seconds, remove and see how it turned out.
Also, on step five if you can't press down with the same hand and swab with the other, just dip you finger, nail and all, into the capful of rubbing alcohol, and press the newspaper on that!

(NOTE: it doesn't matter what the newspaper writing says, it'll probably show up backwards on your nails anyway!!)
